We love cross-breeding. The Rump Steak is fresh out of our lab, a hybrid of our all-around hero, The Butler, and small-wave special, The Beef Steak.

The Rump Steak uses The Butler’s basic DNA and adds a good dollop of extra volume, taking the shorter, wider, flatter approach from The Beef Steak. The low entry rocker makes it accelerate fast and maintain speed even when the waves are wanting, while the curve through the tail rocker ensures it’s manoeuvrable and performs whenyou need it to.

We’ve kept the bottom pretty simple: single to double concave, with a tasty bit of vee running through the tail. The Rump Steak is a board built to catch waves easily, get up and go fast, while still feeling snappy, drivey, and lively. It’s the chunky cut with extra sizzle.

Ride it just above your height or up to 6" shorter (depending on your ability) and thicker and wider than your shortboard. Dig in!​
